Interview Interviews ...
So the interview today ...... I didn't really get a chance to say much because the interviewer talked SO much!! I just sat there, nodding, and agreeing to whatever she was saying from time to time. Now what was the point of the interview? jk.
Well all up to His plan ... I just really remembered an important statement: "He loves us not bcuz of who we are, but bcuz of who He is." Now if only job recruitment people were the same ............ *sigh*
Today's mighty snowy and windy ... winter wonderland!
And guess what ... I get to go out and survey ... yes, hold rods on steep hills and listen to the walkietalkie for my partner to tell me when to move.
yayyyy .. but at least I got good music with me today ^^
My Fish Leather Bracelet
Ooops, so I forgot to post up pictures as to what that customized bracelet looked like - the one I got the guy at the kiosk in Mac Hall to make.

So ... it's green with leaf texture because it symbolizes "growth" ... that IS a fish you see ((not as distinctive as I wanted it to be, but oh well)) and the yellow band symbolizes "sun" but more so "Son" and to 'shine'
It fits a little too big which kinda sucks, but I do see that kiosk quite a lot at Mac Hall, so one day I'll get it fixed. ((It's the kiosk right outside the Black Lounge almost, at the top of the stairs, by the Debit Machines))
MuteMath, Muay Thai
and ........ Matt?
haha they all sound similar, hmmm
They are my hottest interests at the moment ...!
(( not Matt though, hehe ))
Relient K - I Celebrate the Day
For you Jon! ((ermm ... I don't think you even read my blog *cough*))
Lyrics below, I decided to post this up - since Christmas is arriving soon .. wowie.
I Celebrate the DayWith this Christmas wish is missed
The point I could convey
If only I could find the words to say to let you know
How much you've touched my life because
Here is where you're finding me
In the exact same place as New Years Eve
And from the lack of my persistency
We're less than half as close as I wanna be
And the first time that you opened your eyes
Did you realize that you would be my Savior
And the first breath that left your lips
Did you know that it would change this world forever
And the first time that you opened your eyes
Did you realize that you would be my Savior
And the first breath that left your lips
Did you know that it would change this world forever
And so this Christmas I'll compare
The things I've felt in prior years
To what this midnight made so clear
That you have come to meet me here
To look back
And think that
This baby would one day save me
And the hope that
That you give
That you were born so I might really live
To look back
And think that
This baby would one day save me…
And the first time that you opened your eyes
Did you realize that you would be my Savior
And the first breath that left your lips
Did you know that it would change this world forever
And the first time that you opened your eyes
Did you realize that you would be my Savior
And the first breath that left your lips
Did you know that it would change this world forever
And I
I celebrate the day
That you were born to die
So I could one day
Pray for you to save my life
Pray for you to save my life
Pray for you to save my life
Identity?
"We talk about the second coming ... half of the world hasn't even heard of the first." - Oswald Chambers
So that was quite the eventful day ... Friday morning to struggle out of the house, ACAD show visit in the afternoon, exam for 3 hours, stupid fire drill, then booking it over to Impact, then back to SAIT for some preparation of the stuff we were giving out to the homeless, then back to church for prayer and book study, then Timmy's, then finally back home!
But I had some good time for devos ... actually, today and yesterday has been the rollercoaster for me, but yet again, do I ever learn SO much.
so Carly talked about Identity today during Impact, and I was really encouraged by some of the things that were mentioned. Identity was not tied to anything that affected you externally, but as being the clay, letting Big Daddy being the potter. Don't let other things define you. Sometimes we limit our options by just going towards doing something we were gifted to do. But no! We can be transformed, or used in someother way and onto other paths, only if we let ourselves be led by God. God changed people's name in the Bible, eg. Abram, Saul because they had an encounter with Him. Don't set a 'Christian standard' or don't determine your growth solely just on results.
"... what drew me to the love that pursued me..."
Listened to Starfield today, haven't listened to them for soooooooooooooooo long. What still tips me over is "Cry of My Heart" as it says, "What in this life, could mean any more."
To glorify is to magnify ...
Timbits?
A man walks into Tim Hortons and looks over the menu. It was his first time in there. The timbits looked like a good snack and small enough for a try in flavor, so asked for one.
After eating one, he asked for another.
Then for a fourth one.
Then for a fifth.
Then he asked for many timbits until he ate the tenth one.
He asked the employee, how much do I owe?
The guy replies, "Oh they are 10 cents each."
"Ok," said the man, and dropped a dime in the employee's hand and walked out the door.
Hmmm ... so what's that all about?
It kinda relates to that verse ((1 Corinthians 3:5-9))
Ok, so here's the answer ... the man paid only ten cents for the last timbit he ate, because then it was when he ate it, that his hunger and craving was satisfied. If it wasn't for the first, second, third timbit, then the 10th wouldn't have finally satisfied his hunger. They all contributed in filling him up. ((I wish we could really do that with food, only pay for the food when we're full!))
As so for a non-believer when he comes across the Bible or gospel, or witnessed to by a believer, evangelist. Don't be discouraged when you tell someone about Christ and they don't take it at first. Our role is to perhaps plant that seed. ((as I know you've heard of this before)) But you also could be the one that reaps, or harvests.
Remember that God's work in a person is the conviction part ... just be the second, or seventh timbit for that hungry seeker. Because maybe that person might just need 7 ...
Just some encouragement ... it was kinda neat. ^^
