Bitterbuckets.

Now WHY must I fume over it? I just ask God why in the world I had to come across such a situation, and even on top of my crazy last year ... with all the changes and whatnot ... why must I linger and hang on to the piece I've already torn off? Sometimes I just want nothing to do with it. But hey, I know I blow things outta proportion sometimes ... doodeedoo ... What does it take for vulnerability to settle in?

Yes, does God never make sense, but hey ....... that's all to the big mystery of his perfect plan.

Amen. I had an awesome prayer time though today for campus. May awesome things unfold there... and wow I was at school from 9am to 9pm today. Super keener no?

True, or IS it?

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.
In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.
You'd like to your lover to think you are optimistic and happy.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.
Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.
You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

What Are The Keys To Your Heart?

Wow ... that 100% cheating thing. YIKES. Tis not true.

Speedy ...

is this Eliica ... hehe I watched the Discovery Channel today ((on a treadmill at Sait's beautiful workout gym)) and it was talking about this electrical car that can go at amazing speeds. It can go from 0 up to 100 km/hr in 4 seconds! and break really fast too. Go check it out at http://www.eliica.com
Oh! And this episode was focused on Japan - how it is a big chunk of our future ... with its innovative ideas and crazy things they come up with. Well there was this one feature about this crazy ANDROID that Japan created ... she looks strikingly real, like a real human being and she talks and responds to human movement. THAT IS QUITE FREAKY. Robots .............. they are really coming alive in this future, like the movies ...

Anyway, I'm excited for this upcoming month ... time to wrap up summer and jump into the new semester. Wow, was this past summer ever quiet. Well I guess quiet is alright, mellower times are needed. Has this year ever been a rollercoaster... but hey, like a rollercoaster ride, when you step off of one, you desire to go try it again, for the thrill ........ now do I want a reride?

Talked to a friend that I haven't talked to for a longggggggggggg time. *hint, hello wayne* I love our talks. Quite sparratic, here and there ... but definitely a nice chat. Awesome to have bumped into you again ...

DON'T WATCH

the movie Wedding Crashers.

It's so wrong wrong WRONG.

Sure, it could be funny, oh but how ugly it feels after watching the movie. I can confess, yeah there's laughter, but it's more the nervous laughter. It's quite the disturbance to my mind and heart how society is so disgustingly sexually driven. Not only they really skew up the value of L-O-V-E as so many people so desperately try to capture ... but I dunno, the movie just degrades so many things! I'm sure a lot of you people have watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith ... and ok I could agree it was an entertaining movie, aestetically pleasing to the eye, etc .... but would you agree that it was deep? No?! Maybe there wasn't a purpose to be deep, but it didn't leave much for me to ponder about ... sorta a no-brainer movie ... like a "yay! that was an awesome movie" other person asks, "well what did you like most about it?" "I liked uhmm ... uhmmm...the action of ......" and maybe that's all that could really be said. ((Strictly my opinion))

But hey if I was to really say things I liked about Wedding Crashers ... I do like Owen Wilson and I REALLY REALLY REALLY got excited over the fact that in the previews, for one of the upcoming movies "Transporters2" the base song for the trailer was one done by Toby Mac!! The Slam song. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! Isn't that crazy amazing? It's exciting to know that his songs are going really mainstream, but I do do pray that Toby Mac doesn't get too sucked into mainstream that compromises are made ... I really hope he sticks to spreading the Truth ... and may God work an outstanding plan ...

Anyway, another movie I saw recently was "Elephant" Another extremity of an example of what our society can be or grow into. I'm not too too sure, but I believe it's a movie sorta based on the Columbine Shooting and was only shown in the little cinema theatres, like our Global one. It had an artistic approach, gratefully wasn't too gory, but definitely left a strong graphic imprint in your mind. Shows how hate can really corrupt and take over individuals.

What is our society going to grow into next?

Anyway, what I read recently in my book really could confirm my so called ephipany tonight, that I fully agree with, in the chapter called, "Introduction to Influences" - 'The other area we see a major impact from the media is an even more dangerous one: oversaturation. The first time you heard a curse word, saw a sex scene, or witnessed a televised kiss between two people of the same sex, you likely reacted with some sort of disdain. But the more you are exposed to things that you may consider wrong, the less negative reaction you will have to it. If these subjects are presented in a favorable, acceptable manner, you may begin to accept them as the norm and possibly even decide to indulge in such acts yourself. Our initial reaction of being repulsed by something can change with oversaturation and move us to show tolerance, and, at the very worst, make us approve.'

Now someone could argue that it depends on what you were taught or brought up with when you were small and that depends on how you would react to certain things, but perhaps that's not the point. Guilt and conscience is there for a reason. I really hope somehow people may realize traps temptation brings us to, and start grabbing back to integrity and values ... and escape.

And of course that's tremendously difficult on our own strength. Only with God's can we go towards what we think is impossible, for He makes things possible.

Updates

Soooo I just came back from Vancouver, and wowie was it ever relaxing. For sleeping, I had oodles and oodles of it, and it was quite nice. Riding the BC ferry over to Powell River was nice too, sitting at the front with the fresh breeze and passing by mountainous looking islands. I got to see the Fireworks competition on the English Bay with one of my good friends, laying out on the sand and watching the sky light up in brilliant blaze ... that night was China and was it ever packed for the audience. It was like Red Mile all over again, with people crawling all over the streets in a hurry to find good spots or a good place in getting home. 150,000 was the attendance, I believe, for that night. What I found neat was when the helicopter came by and shone its white search light on everyone ... just like the movies :P
I got some major reading done too, a book that has been waiting a long time to be read ... and a good time to freely ponder. A picture taking time reminded me the fun things you can get outta little things ... something I used to really enjoy ... hehe I'll post them up soon.
Something from a book I am reading at this moment:
"Feeding Your Appetites - Take Control of what's Controlling You!" -Stephen Arterburn
It talks about the distractions in life - aside from physical food, and how they take control and why.
Here's a neat quote:

"Sow a thought, and you reap an action;
sow an action, and you reap a habit;
sow a habit, and you reap a character,
sow a character, and you reap a destiny."
- Charles Reade

Jon Chui and I talked a lot about how this past year has been. For me it's been a lot, for him, I guess he was undecided. Well, the year hasn't ended yet, there's still about less than half left. I know there's a lot in store ... It's kinda funny though, we haven't really changed much at all. He says I've matured a whole bunch, but yikes, do I ever feel like a kid still. But hey, randomizing and spontanety still happens for us both, and being amazed by the things of the world brings us inspiration. Jon's bike is quite the beauty for the price, I'm still needing to get a license for a car ... hehe and I remember how I always wanted to be a biker chick too ... it IS dangerous though ...

SAIT's coming around the corner for me and I'm excited like no other. I did get to see an advertisement for a Christian Club, it's called "Christ on campus" I think? They had an interesting quote saying, "Prayer is not learned in the classroom, but in the closet." At first I was like, "???" But thinking it over I interpret it as the closet symbolizing - 'secret' It's a nice feeling to know that God wants privacy with us. It makes it the more intimate.
