Stealing is NOT cool.

So ... at my store today, at the mall, some guy stole our display boots. What happened was, there wasn't actually anyone present on the floor ((partially our fault)) because one was on break, I was in the back unpacking a delivery and my manager was helping out two customers.

It was our fur boots, two black ones that was side by side. We think that the dude thought they were a full pair - but actually, they were TWO left feet, as all our shoes only have one side out ((as all shoe stores do)) so ... my manager went to the back twice. The first time coming back out, she saw the two display boots on the floor, near the front at the corner of the becnh ... and so she thought some customer had just looked at them and walked away. She went back to get another size, and when my manager was fetching this guy his size for the shoes, he told the other customer in the store that he'd be right back. My manager came out, he was gone, boots were gone ... and the customer said she saw nothing ((and quickly left .. hmm..))

Amazingly, the guy DID come back ... I guess to check his bank or something ((but then the banks close at 4pm and this all happened at 5... and my manager just simply asked, "Hey do you happen to see some boots on the ground while you were here? Now they are gone." And the guy got all defensive and said, "What, are you accusing me now?" ((but then, my manager didn't even PUT it in an accusive way! ... so that was kinda obvious)) and then he asked how much his shoes that he wanted would cost with tax .. then he stepped out saying he'd return again ... hmmm

Whatever it is ... it was all quite well planned. And for the guy to have guts to come back too, to look less suspicious I guess. He had this bright orange jacket on, very baggy. *sigh* well nothing we can do about it now, because we couldn't accuse unless we saw him steal with our own eyes.

"Well whoever took them can't go very far, with two left feet."
