TFK can rawk!

Sooooooooo I did end up going to the concert. Yay! Well it was a VERY long concert though, in total maybe 3.5 hours. The special guests took up about more than half! There were four, so it's quite understandable for that lengthy intro. Gaetz Ave, Manafest, Nifty, and StereoTrap.

BUT I must say ... Centre Street really likes to blast and pump up the bass. HORRIBLE choice - because I couldn't hear hardly any of the artists as to what they were saying! It was better when TFK rolled around - Thank God for that! Because what I love best about the band is their melodic part of their punkrock. Also Trevor's amazing talent with the vocals.

So, sitting through the first half was a bit unbearable ... but I gratefully knew all the songs they sang so I could guess/sing to my myself at the same time to enjoy ^^

NIFTY is such a cool guy! Little black guy from Toronto - his stuff almost sounds like Jay-z's. His name stands for "New Intelligence from the Yahweh" ... funky hey? He's such a nice nice guy. But since no one really knew him and he's quite new, there wasn't many people at his booth. He even had this little red siren flashing light on his table too ........ wow what a guy hehe.

I got to get second in line for the autographing. I dropped my CD right before and the case broke. :( But nevertheless, I did get to ask Trevor ((lead vocals)) what TFK stood for. Hehe, his voice was gone so I had to rest my head on the table and listen to his coarse whispering...

Oh, how I love concerts.

WHAT?! It's a DVD on the other side?? REALLY? Their new one? haha ... lemme check it out ... WAIT I GOTTA ASK YOU ... where did you get yours? I was struck amazed to find "Nothing is Sound" at HMV for an amazing $9.99. *whistles*

wow, $9.99 is a great deal. was gonna preorder at CP for $12.99 (i think they're selling for $14.99 now) but was happy i forgot that one time i was there cuz i remembered that i'd just end up re-buying it for the one with the DVD.

yeah, i bought the DualDisc where one side is the CD and the other side is the DVD, picked it up at CP on tuesday (popped in on monday hoping they might have put them out early, but no... cuz i picked up don miller's newest book two days after the date that it said on the price tag, then a few days later don miller sent out an email on their mail list saying the book was out that day, so i was hoping CP would put the CD out early) for $19.99 plus tax, plus tip... wait... without the tip... :P

all the dvd has is all the songs of the album in 5.1 speaker surrond sound, in regular sound, and a half hour documentary called "the making of Nothing Is Sound" - cool graphic design plus look and feel plus video effects. the thing is that maybe the cd/dvd doesn't work on way, way ancient cd and dvd drives cuz it says on the case that it *might* not work because it doesn't conform to cd/dvd standards. but it's worked on my computer (both dvd and cd), discman, and a ghetto portable cd player that i've borrowed (ghetto ghetto-blaster?! hahaha).

speaking of don miller ("the author of blue like jazz" as his following two books have on their cover, here's to hoping he doesn't need to be known as "t a o b l j" for the rest of eternity - he makes a case for God in blueLikeJazz with the illustration of penguin sex too, which is way cool cuz this summer a documentary called "march of the penguins" narrated by morgan freeman [no, i wasn't watching "live with regis and kelly" when he was on the show... wait a sec, how would i know that then...] that also touches on the subject), he's gonna be at breakforth doing two of the "the EdgE" workshops. plus tim hughes, kutless, rebecca st. james (boourns her concert's on sunday nite so we'd miss it because gotta get back to cgy for school the next day), and dan kimball (emergent church dude) will be there.

can't decide if i'm gonna go to breakforth yet tho cuz i'd like to, but it's a homework weekend lost, plus some cash-munneh to attend.
