great song! still can't believe that i forgot to preorder the cd when i was last at christian publications. talked too much while at the till, totally slipped my mind even though i had just asked the lady in the music section where to preorder.
from the clip they had on myspace, i thought stars would be a totally hard rock song cuz they edited it to have the intro, chorus, and outro, with no hint of the verse.
wonder if they play stars on shine. don't really listen to any radio these days so wouldn't know. the single came out on radio a long time ago though - remember it being the most added song on alternative stations back in july. i emailed shine to request stars the weekend before it came out but dunno if they got it or if they did anything about it.
this brings back great memories of them playing here last summer. it was on during the last days of stampede cuz that nite nelly furtado was playing on the coke stage. saw a bunch of friends that i usually don't see together - i remember you were there with a few of your buddies! saw jon, tim, and chad at the arcade/subway while waiting in line to get in the doors and probably made a mistake of telling people i knew about them being there. then talked with jon, jerome, and drew afterwards, met two of those super crazy hardcore fans who are all over the switchfoot boards and have seen switchfoot all over north america, and stuck around until they were loading up to go to the airport to get chad and tim's autographs for my bro - good times.
sweet video for this song too. you can google yahoo music to watch it. kinda 'got it' better the second time i saw it (as in the beginning seconds/shots made more sense - not much more to really 'get'), but expected some of it cuz their myspace had photo captures from their vid, plus some behind the scenes pics.

i've sampled the cd already...sounds pretty good...
i heard that the new audio adrenaline cds had some mix ups with some of them.....when ppl opened them, they got the new switchfoot cd 2 weeks early but in an audio a case!!! CRAZY!!!

CRAZY ... yeah I am on the AudioA's mailing list so I heard about that mix-up too. Almost makes me want to go out and buy as many AudioA CD's as I possibly can. Harhar.
