makes me cryyyyy. hehe."I just want to be a sheep - Ba ba Ba Ba! I just want to be a sheep, Ba ba Ba ba!"
She's truly the most humble girl singer ... she's touched me with the simple love that's expressed through her songs. I can't believe she's so young too? 21 ?? Anyway, such a blessing to hear her at the last night concert. Wow o wow. Once she started singing, 'Small' - kawoosh, there goes the tears. Without hesitation too ... that song unlocks so many things for me. As a whisper in agreement with the song, I sent it as a prayer.
But yeah she explained how she felt so broken one time, and was in this big prayer tent and she was faced down, right into the dirt, crying all the tears she possibly had, and was certainly broken. She didn't tell anyone where she had went, but her dad found her and knelt beside her, arms around her shoulders. He didn't say a word. Not one single word, and he knelt with her, for the next hour until she picked up her dignity and rose. Amanda told us, that with her earthly dad figure, God was able to really show His presence through that unspoken love, that He is always ALWAYS there, placing His gentle hand on our shoulders, enduring with us the pain and hurt.
Amanda also talked about how she wishes there was just one single magazine out there in our society that told the reader that they were accepted, they were beautiful, and that they are worthy. But no, instead we find magazines, tv shows, that constantly, without fault, always throwing out suggestions about self improvement, self gain, self indulgence, makeovers, change, improve, improve, improve. Presenting the false state of 'perfection' and trying to disguise the reality, that the fact is, you're never gonna be completely satisfied , especially physically. But not unless we know that God has another, more true definition of beautiful. He loves and seeks for beauty that is eternal. We find beauty in Him, who supplies all full joy and full satisfaction. Most importantly, Psalms 139, He knows every single thing about each one of us.
Every single thing.

Hmm... my thought was how cute kids are when they get fustrated... until they throw tantrums.
mine was that it's ridiculous to have to sleep at 9:30 to make it to school tommorow (and it's 9:40 already... hahah) - actually that, and also that God's good cuz he totally healed me from crazy cold sypmtoms i had yesterday (can't remember the last time i've ever felt that sick)...

its super kool!!!
my thought was how i should stop reading blogs and get studying for my midterms...
you should become a graphic designer and then work for relevant!! hahaha
seriously though, you'd love their look and feel if you ever look through a copy (got mine from christian pub/westside kings sunday nites). i was more impressed with the may/june (maybe?) issue with Moby on the cover than the sept/oct issue with jon foreman of switchfoot on the cover. plus i was hoping they'd have new copies in the back of the jon foreman edition but i got the wrinkly one that everyone's thumbed through from the back...
and relevant is putting out a new lifestyle magazine for twentysomething women in Feb 2006 called radiant.

Hey Toby,
Thanks for the suggestions for picture books...I think I'm really going to buy "The Three Trees" as you suggested! That's the first time I've even heard of that story lol! I'm going to be getting the Max Lucado books eventually; "You are Special" is on its way in the mail as we speak!!! Keep the suggestions coming! :)
Yeah, Waves of Grace I haven't heard of becuase I really don't buy a lot of Vineyard CDs or any other contemporary worship CDs lol...I really like the younger stuff but of course that means I miss a few good songs here and there! :(
