Lost Sheep

Those who stray my tears fall for
My heart beats drown out to pour
The question marks that float through
Confidence cringes and walls break into two
Frustration at your decisions
Your changed goals and changed visions

Can't hold your hand anymore to your destination
You've chosen a path you've made in your creation
Of direction, of exploration on your very own
The love and intimacy you have thrown
Away or hidden in a box or turned upside down
To allow attempts of getting a selfish crown

Why do you rely on, why do you flee?
What do you expect, what do you want to be?
You can have everything but still miss one thing
Search for an answer, but nothing will bring
What you had, the gift that was given
Why do shy it away, keep it hidden?

He will find you again, but only if you let Him
And tear down your strongholds of doubt and dim
Attempts to find a better way when there isn't any
To find you, the lost one, He ditches many
For He delights in you, and has a plan for your life
Why avoid it, destroy it, and cause more strife?

I will pray for you, for there's only so much I can do
For inner work, for inner freshness anew
Behind the scenes, and on my knees
Ineffably sublime, it will be put to ease
In hope that you will be brought back to the start
Of when you received your First Love to your heart

"What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost." - Matthew 18: 12-14 NIV

Amen.
