Aussie Rules and Lights
Just came back from the 'bar' Aussie Rules down by Westbrook Mall. Wow, never thought we had something like that in Calgary. The Dueling Pianos was quite the treat. Dancing and romping on top of chairs, shouting at the top of our lungs and doing little jigs, hehe what a night. I advise anyone reading this to go check it out some night. Bring wild and outgoing people with you, I'm sure it will be memorable. Beats the boredom of going out to our dead clubs, the nightlife scene in Calgary is obsolete.Anyway, met a whole bunch of Lindsey's friends ... people she knew ever since Elementary. I wish I kept in touch with my kiddie friends, it's interesting how they are still here and when they pass me by I can still recognize them. First and last names. How they helped shaped me so ...
When coming back home tonight, there was a quick glance at the sky and I SAW NORTHERN LIGHTS. Sadly peeking out from just the car window, I didn't see the fullness of it. But were they ever BRIGHT! They formed a rainbow-like shape, with green jagged edges, slicing the blackness of the sky. I've never seen them so extreme before! Soooooooo pretty. The last time I saw them was when I was in Junior High in my best friend's back yard, when we were lying on the grass and on each other's tummies and staring up in the vast night. Truly what a gift of creation.
